Meetings

Orange County TMDL Stakeholder Meeting

The Stakeholder Advisory Group (SAG) for the Orange County TMDL Project will meet on Thursday, February 7, 2013, from 1:30 to 3:30 at the Sabine River Authority Environmental Services Division.

The objective of this meeting is to receive an update on the status of the I-Plan, review and discuss the components of the plan, and to see the path forward to the plan's completion.

Agenda

Orange County TMDL Stakeholder Meeting

The Stakeholder Advisory Group (SAG) for the Orange County TMDL Project met on Thursday, August 23, 2012, at the Sabine River Authority Environmental Services Division.

The objective of the meeting was to discuss the preliminary comments received from TCEQ on the Draft I-Plan and to make any necessary changes to the document. TCEQ also presented the path forward toward I-Plan approval.

Orange County TMDL Stakeholder Meeting

The Stakeholder Advisory Group (SAG) for the Orange County TMDL Project will meet on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Sabine River Authority Environmental Services Division.

The objective of this meeting is to discuss the Draft I-Plan and continue finalizing the details. The Texas Water Resources Institute has joined the Orange County TMDL Project to assist with the non-point source portion of the Implementation Plan and representatives will be in attendance at the meeting. The focus of the meeting will be to discuss strategies and form work groups to address the remaining details in the I-Plan Matrix.

Additional meetings will be held as necessary to produce the final I-Plan. All stakeholders are urged to provide input even if they have not been active in the process. Your participation is critical to the success of this project to improve water quality.

Orange County TMDL Stakeholder Meeting

The Stakeholder Advisory Group (SAG) will meet on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Sabine River Authority Environmental Services Division.

The objective of this meeting is to begin the finalization of the various components of the Orange County Total Maximum Daily Load Implementation Plan (TMDLIP). Although work on the Orange County TMDLIP began in 2007, there are still issues that remain to be resolved. Efforts have been continuing to reduce loading from on-site sewage systems and the plan for regional treatment is moving forward. At this time we would like to review the members of the Stakeholder Advisory Group and replace any members that are unable to continue to serve. If you are unable to serve, please consider recommending a possible replacement. It is particularly important that all stakeholders affected by the reduced loading requirements of the TMDL participate in the planning process. The decisions made by the SAG to be included in the IP will have long-term consequences for all the citizens in Orange County. All areas of the watersheds will be impacted by the changes that will be required to improve water quality.

The decisions made by the SAG to be included in the IP will have long-term consequences for all the citizens in Orange County. All areas of the watersheds will be impacted by the changes that will be required to improve water quality.

Public Meeting

Citizens of the Orange County area are being asked for their input on the draft Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) report for Adams Bayou and Cow Bayou. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is holding a public meeting to receive comments on the draft TMDL Report on Thursday, March 22, 2007. The meeting will be held at 7 PM at the City of Orange Recreation Department, 4103 Meeks Drive, Orange.
